Traidcrafts gloves are made by small-scale farmers in Sri Lanka. The farmers are educated on the best ways to tap rubber and care for trees, as well as how to prepare and manage their land, and they receive a premium for the sale of the gloves. Traidcraft provided the farmers with additional training in business management, and provided capital to the farmer associations, helping them establish savings and loan funds in their villages. Always use a separate pair of gloves for dishwashing versus all other cleaning. The outer packaging can berecycled at supermarkets, for example, just like bread bags.
