Chateau de Meursault Bourgogne Terroir d'Exception Chardonnay 2022

Drink it now or cellar for up to 15 years. No need to decant. With its thousand-year history, Chateau de Meursault is one of the most important estates in the Cote de Beaune and Burgundy. Its vineyards extend between Puligny Montrachet and Aloxe Corton over an area of approximately 60 hectares. The vines are grown according to sustainability principles and operations in the vineyard are manual. The Chardonnay grapes for the Bourgogne Terroir d'Exception of Chateau de Meursault come from a small plot bordering the Meursault Perrire parcel, with eastern exposure. Here the vineyards can benefit from Jurassic limestone soils and marl which guarantee great finesse and minerality in the wines. The harvest is manual and the fermentation takes place in oak barrels for 15 days. The finished wine then ages in a barrel, on the yeasts for 12-15 months, before bottling. The wine has a bright, clear yellow color and a rich, aromatic profile. On the nose, it reveals notes of white flowers and yellow fruits, followed by delicate toasted hints. On the palate, it is generous and complex, with a medium body and a surprising mineral vein. The finish is elegant and fresh. The wine pairs perfectly with medium-aged cheeses, vegetarian or seafood risottos.
