DAOU vineyards is a 212 acre family-run estate in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles and seeks to craft top quality Bordeaux-style wines which combine Old World elegance with a New World exuberance and vibrancy. The hilltop site enjoys excellent climatic and geological conditions and has been described as a jewel of ecological elements by top Californian winemaker Andr Tchelistcheff. The family age their DAOU Cabernet in 60% new oak barrels for a total of 10 months to produce a remarkably polished red that will age gracefully in the cellar as well as being delicious to enjoy now.
