Enjoy it now, or cellar for a few more years. No need to decant before serving For centuries, Chateau de Meursault has been a focal point for wine production in Burgundy. The estate owns 65 hectares of vineyards in the Cte de Beaune region, including parcels of 5 Grand Crus and 18 Premier Crus. Operating out of a chateau in the heart of Meursault, the winery produces a range of incredibly tasty wines, perfectly reflecting the beautiful landscape of the region. Since 2012, the winery has been under the ownership of the Halley family, who have overseen a quality revolution here, and in the nearby Chateau de Marsannay. Savigny-Les-Beaune is one of the most prolific appellations in the region and is the place of origin for this succulent Chardonnay wine. Full-bodied and ripe with aromas, this white is bursting with yellow fruits, citrus, and nutty elements of almond and hazelnut. The fruits for this wine are grown on the top of the hillside, in gravel and clay-limestone soil. Despite its delightful roundness on the nose, pinpoint levels of acidity appear on the palate, supporting notes of ripe peach, apple, and limoncello. The finish is long and rich with minerality. It will be a beautiful pairing for a seafood platter or a subtly seasoned cut of ham.
