Founded in 1962, in the Kakheti wine region at the foot of the Caucasus Mountains, Tbilvino is an acclaimed Georgian winery. The company, whose wines are exported all over the world, owns over 300 hectares of vineyards. The headquarters and cellar are located in the village of Kvareli, but the company also has an office in the capital Tbilisi. Kindzmarauli is a semi-sweet red wine produced in the sub-region of the same name, in the Kakheti wine district, with the indigenous Georgian variety Saperavi. The harvest is manual at over-ripeness, to create a wine with a natural residual sugar. This delicious traditional Georgian wine reveals a clear and bright color with ruby-pomegranate tones. Its aromatic profile is lively and broad with captivating fruity notes of red berries, cherry, and blackberry, followed by hints of cocoa and sweet spices. On the palate, it is well-structured and balanced. It has a deliciously refreshing acid vein that balances the sweetness well. It is fruity and soft with ripe and well-integrated tannins. The finish is long and delicately spicy. In terms of food pairings it is quite versatile: it goes well with duck with red sauces or with chocolate desserts.
