This enchanting Chardonnay is made according to the same ethos as their famous The Prisoner Red Blend. Its an exciting combination of Chardonnay, Roussanne, and Gewurztraminer, three grape varieties that have never before been blended together for commercial release. The fruit is sourced from Californias Carneros region where the proximity to the ocean helps preserve plenty of freshness and delicate aromatics despite the hot summer days. The nose is bursting with ripe pineapple, green apple, and vanilla notes, while the first sip introduces the mouthwatering freshness, orchard fruit flavours, and hints of spice and toast which linger long on the tongue. The ideal balance and vivacity of this wine makes it a great option to cellar for a few more years or to enjoy now alongside creamy cheeses, panfried fish like halibut or sea bass, or even a grilled cheese sandwich.
