Delaporte Sancerre Rose 2024

Drink now. No need to decant. Passed down from generation to generation since the 17th century, today Domaine Delaporte is headed by Matthieu Delaporte. The family estate, located in Chavignol, a charming village renowned for its goat cheese, extends over 33 hectares, with 50 different plots, most of them facing south. 35% of the vines are planted on flint soils, and the plants are managed with a few interventions, with the utmost respect for the environment. For the production of this Sancerre Rose, the Pinot Noir grapes are pressed whole. Alcoholic fermentation takes place for 12 days in thermoregulated stainless steel vats at a temperature of 18C, to preserve its fruitiness. The wine then spends six months on its lees to acquire more body. The wine has a splendid light salmon color. The nose shows a delicious intensity of small red fruits. The red berries are also felt in a mouth with juicy and almost fleshy sensations. It is fresh and lively, with a nice medium-long finish. This pure Pinot Noir vinified in ros is a real pleasure, generous and pulpy. It is the perfect summer wine. Enjoy it well chilled on the terrace, with a barbecue or some Asian food.
