Founded nearly 2 centuries ago, Chteau Purcari is located in the PGI tefan Vod region, in the south-east of Moldova, between the Dniester River and the Black Sea. It is the most prestigious winery in Central Europe and the oldest in Moldova. Its wines, produced from grapes grown in its own vineyards, are known and appreciated all over the world. This sparkling wine is produced exclusively with selected and hand-picked Feteasca Alba grapes sourced in the Stefan Voda wine district. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks to maintain the fresh character of the wine. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the classic Champenoise method and the wine ages for at least 12 months on the lees. Chateau Purcari Cuvee de Purcari Feteasca Alba Brut has a bright greenish-yellow color and a fine and persistent perlage. Its aromatic profile is rich with fruity aromas of green apple, notes of wildflowers, and some light hints of honey. On the palate, it is soft and elegant, balanced and fresh with a long and persistent finish of wildflowers. It is a versatile wine in food pairings but its especially perfect with seafood.
