The Veuve Olivier & Fils brand was created in 1955 by Liliane Olivier and her son Pierre, but in reality, the company has existed since 1922, when Liliane's great-grandfather Edmond produced and sold his champagne under the name of Terroir des Buttes ". The winery has always been extremely careful to preserve the authenticity of its terroirs. The 18 hectares of vineyards located in the heart of the Marne Valley, on the south-facing slopes, are managed with sustainable viticulture by Sandrine, who is now in charge of the company. The blend of this elegant Champagne, which beautifully represents the style of the house, is dominated by Pinot Meunier, a vine that produces wines with great freshness and good fruit concentration, with captivating exotic nuances. Champagne Veuve Olivier & Fils Carte d'Or Brut is a soft, full wine, with fragrant citrus notes that add freshness and liveliness on the nose. In the mouth, it shows a very pleasant softness and great crispiness with an anise and mint finish. Perfect as an aperitif, it is an absolute must-try with grilled shrimp and scallops, cod filet, or pork filet Mignon. It also works deliciously with Mont d'Or cheese. Enjoy it well chilled at 8 10C.
