Bodega Garzon is an award-winning winery located in Uruguay, owned by Alejandro Bulgheroni, a renowned figure in the South American wine world, who consults with Italian winemaker Alberto Antonini. The company owns small plots of land spread across an area of the country characterized by particularly favorable soil and climate conditions for quality viticulture. The Tannat grapes come from the estate's coolest vineyard. Here, this varietal benefits from ideal conditions, with a microclimate influenced by ocean breezes and stony topsoil that ensures excellent drainage. After manual harvesting and fermentation, the wine ages on the lees in French oak for 12-18 months. In the glass, Bodega Garzon Single Vineyard Tannat reveals an intense purple color and a rich, broad aromatic profile with notes of ripe cherry, plum, and dried strawberry, followed by tobacco leaves and spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied and concentrated, juicy and smooth, with a pleasant minerality and balanced, refreshing acidity. The finish is long and warm, reminiscent of dark chocolate.
